Given Creating a Github Branch from ServiceNow Studio When ServiceNow displays error: " Repository authentication failed, check Credentials. Make sure the user has both read and write access" Then Github -> Settings -> Developer Settings -> Personal access tokens -> Generate new token with OAuth scope "repo" Use the generated access token as a password in ServiceNow Studio -> Source Control -> Edit Repository Configuration SN Help : If the branch creation fails and you see a message about confirming the user has read, write, and create branch access, you either connected Studio to the ServiceNow version of the repository and not your fork of the repository or you are using two-factor authentication in GitHub and are not using a personal access token in place of your password.
